As per a survey by the Airports Council International, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Airport and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport have been ranked among the world’s best airports, beating Singapore’s Changi Airport.
The Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi has been handling over 40 million passengers per annum, with the airport reaching 63.5 million passengers in 2017. Similarly, the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport too has been ranked among the top airports based on customer experience.
The parameters on which the survey was conducted include facilities like restrooms, parking facilities, internet access, shopping facilities, eateries and restaurants, security screening, the ambiance of the airport, courtesy of the staff, ground transportation support and the speed of baggage delivery among the other parameters.
These two airports have also bagged an award for the best airport in the Asia Pacific region, as per the reports by the Times of India. The next time you step in to the Mumbai and Delhi Airports, know that you’re in the best airport of the world.
